Our Promise to you:

Advanced booked appointments for the Doctor and Nurse.

Same day appointments or within 48hrs for the Doctor and Nurse

Extended Hours on a Monday upto 8.00 p.m.

Telephone Consultations if you request one.

Health Care Assistants, Health Visitor, Dietician, Mental Health Worker and Midwife are all booked in advance.

Cancelling your Appointment
If you are unable to attend an appointment with one of the doctors or nurses, please telephone or use the link at the bottom of this page to cancel your appointment.

Out of Hours
Please ring the surgery number and you will be directly put through to the Out of Hours Centre.

Home Visits
If possible please try to telephone reception before 10:30am if you require a home visit. A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.

Maternity Services 

baby_and_pregnant_mumWe offer shared care between your G.P. and the hospital during your pregnancy. Most expectant mothers will have their antenatal checks with the midwife at the surgery, a Doctor is available if required. 

Family Planning 

The Doctor and the Practice Nurse are available to provide confidential and comprehensive advice on all forms of contraception. The family planning clinic at Tarleton provide appointments on alternate Wednesdays at 6.45pm-8.30pm. 01772 814911.  Southport Family planning clinic also provides appointments, please contact them on 01704 385030 for further details. 

Child Health Surveillance (This is by appointment only)

Dr Sak Taggart-Jeewa and Sue Halton the Health Visitor runs this clinic, which periodically examines and assesses your child’s development. Sue Halton also provides a full immunisation service and advice on caring for your baby/children.

Please note if you have not been seen in the Practice in over 3 years you have a right to ask for a consultation. Equally if you are over 75 and you have not been seen by the Practice in over a year you have the right to ask for a consultation. 

Facilities For the Disabled 

There is an access ramp and a handrail to the front of the building. Our building is all on one level; we have a fully equipped disabled toilet and provide a portable hearing induction loop. 

Facilities For Children 

There is a small play area in the corner of the waiting room. We provide a selection of books to help keep the children occupied. We would be grateful if you could leave the area as you find it.
